Why do we process personal data?

            

Your personal data are processed by ESI vzw for the following purposes and legal grounds:

            

            
• to participate in the courses organized by ESI vzw
            
• for the preparation of certificates of participation and invoices
  
• to inform the participants that their ADR certificate expires
   

         

For those purposes, we may request and store the following personal information from you:             

            
• Personal identity details: name, first name, address, telephone number, e-mail
            
• National register number, number of the ADR certificate
            
• Personal characteristics: gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality

    

        

We only use the collected data for the purposes for which we obtained the data.

Provision to third parties

The data that you provide us can be provided to third parties if this is necessary for carrying out the above described purposes.

    

We can use a third party for:         

        
• running the internet environment (web hosting);
        
• arranging and distributing invitations and folders;
            
• the preparation of invoices by means of an online accounting program;
            

            

               

We won't pass on the information you provide us to third parties, unless this is legally required and permitted.
We can also share personal data with third parties if you give us permission to do so. You have the right to withdraw this permission at any time.

Retention period

            

ESI vzw does not store personal data longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, in this case 6 years after the last use.

                         

Data security

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing, for example we have taken the following measures:

    
• We use a username and password policy on all our systems;
        
• We back up the personal data in order to be able to recover it in the event of physical or technical incidents;

You have the right to inspect and to rectify or delete the personal data we have received from you. At the top of this privacy statement you can find how you can contact us.

            

You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or a part of the data) by us or by one of our employees.

        

You also have the right to have the information, provided by you, been transferred to yourself or directly to another party. We can ask you to identify yourself before we can respond to the aforementioned requests.

ESI vzw can change its privacy statement. We will make an announcement of this change on our website.
